The 1878 edition
of The Globe Encyclopaedia of Universal Information describes a loxodrome line
Loxodrom′ic Line is a curve which cuts every member of a
system of lines of curvature of a given surface at the same angle. A ship
sailing towards the same point of the compass describes such a line which cuts
all the meridians at the same angle. In Mercator's Projection (q.v.) the
Loxodromic lines are evidently straight.

Wavelength vs. amplitude - it is a logarithmic scale ... details of how the spiral needs to be built, what the equation is for the length of the arms (or wavelengths of the waves) why it needs to be divided in 24 and how it contains 2 octaves can be found here:

male and female. They form the hemispheres of suns and planets and each
is equal. Each hemisphere is
centripetally formed by accellerative motion. Accellerative motion multiplies
potential in female and male bodies alike. The underlying principle is that
Nature DIVIDES one into 2 equals and then unites these two for multiplication
of potential and repeating the division.
